My whole life has involved the arts. Painting, photography, and graphic design were always ways to express my vision and my voice. As a professional, I make a strong visual impact through color, design, and space.
After painting Realism in oil for almost 30 years, my experience living in New York and California – mixed with my Brazilian background – made me switch to Abstract in acrylic. Then a new Art phase began.
The knowledge of techniques without having total control of the results was my hook to mixed media. The air, the heat, the water are now part of the process and final results. The process guides me through the final results when texture, strokes, and colors come together to express my feelings.
For the abstract pieces, I was inspired by satellite photos combined with my passion for high altitude images (like on a plane, for instance). Nature is already a masterpiece, and I love to interpret its colors and shapes on a series of paintings I called “Aero.”
I hope you will enjoy seeing my work as much as I enjoyed creating it.
